Our keynote speaker is Andrew Vachss, author of a new book on gay-bashing, Choice of Evil, to be published by Knopf in April. Mr. Vachss is a lawyer and an expert of national repute on the subject of interpersonal violence, including bashing crimes, and how to fight them. He will visit the Bay Area during May 12-16, 1999 as part of his speaking tour upon the release of his new book, Choice of Evil Mr. Vachss will speak at Cubberley Auditorium, Stanford, on Friday, May 14, at 7pm. This lecture is open to the public. General admission is $10; $3 with a student ID; free for Stanford students. Ticket reservations are available by contacting organizers by e-mail, phone, or mail. Due to limited space, we strongly suggest utilizing the reservation system to ensure ticket availability. An extra charge of $1 will apply to tickets purchased at the door. Print and broadcast media are invited to contact Stanford organizers for more information on Mr. Vachss' upcoming speech and other BGLAD events, or to arrange interviews with speakers and participants.
