Angela Amarillas will teach a dance close to the Flamenco family, Sevillana this Monday. Angela graduated from Stanford University in 1997 with a degree in Human Biology. Originally from San Diego, she has trained in ballet, modern, and Spanish dancing for most of her life. At Stanford she started Danza Espanola, a Voluntary Student Organization to share the passion and rich variety of Flamenco and other regional dances of Spain through the teaching and performance of these historic and living traditions. She currently works on campus with Cowell Health Promotion Services, and travels around the country and internationally to teach classes and workshops in social ballroom dance with Richard Powers.
