John Douglas, the former FBI agent who pioneered the use of profiling to catch criminals, will be speaking in Kresge Auditorium Nov. 2 at 8:00 PM.  He has written three national best sellers, including _Obsession_ and _Mind Hunter_.  He has confronted doznes of serial killers and assassins, including Charles Manson, Sirhan Sirhan, and James Earl Ray in order to get inside their minds.  He was the model for the Scott Glenn character in _Silence of the Lambs_.  The event is free for Stanford students, faculty and staff with ID, and $9 for community members.
