Asian Americans have made great strides in higher education over the past
several decades. Although an increasing number of Asian Americans are
taking on faculty positions, their numbers remain small. What are some of
the issues faced by Asian American professors in academia in general, in
specific fields and at Stanford in particular? What are the positive and
negative aspects? What should current Asian American students know before
considering careers in academia?
