But WHO is David Brower?
He is the man the world can thank for his leadership in keeping dams out of the
Grand Canyon, Dinosaur National Monument and the Yukon and for helping to
preserve wildlands in Kings Canyon, the North Cascades, the Redwoods, Alaska,
Cape Cod and Point Reyes.
He is the founder and current Chairperson of Earth Island Institute.
He is the founder of the League of Conservation Voters and
Friends of the Earth.
He is a 3 time nominee for the Nobel Peace Prize.
He is a man who has spent 60 years working to protect the earth.
